Congratulations to coach John NiiDoDoo, who was selected by his alma mater, Middle Tennessee State University, to be inducted into their Blue Raider Sports Hall of Fame. We are greatly honored to have him as part of our coaching staff.

The Frederick Striders Track & Field Club is a non-profit organization, established in 1989 to allow young athletes to participate in competitive track and field events. The club is open to youngsters from ages 6 to 18.

Athletes are given the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to compete in running, jumping and throwing events. During the course of the season, each athlete will compete in a series of local meets, as well as prepare to participate in the AAU Regional Championships, the AAU National Junior Olympics and other national events. Over 400 Frederick Striders have traveled and competed in the AAU Regional Championships and AAU National Championships.

Practices are held 3 times a week at Govenor Thomas Johnson High School located at 1501 N. Market Street in Frederick, MD.

Weekday practices are held every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Saturday practices begin at 11:00 A.M. If it is raining before 11:00 AM on Saturday's, then practice will be canceled.
